Silver tokens

Many metal tokens and coins are silver colored. We offer all the important silver colored alloys used for the production of tokens.

Nickel silver is the most used silver colored alloy for vending machines and game tokens. Nickel silver tokens are less common than brass and considered to be a rare, secure alloy. Nickel silver also has great anti-tarnishing properties and is therefore a popular choice for collector coins.

Copper alloys such as brass or copper can be nickel plated. Nickel plated tokens have the same weight and electromagnetic signature as the non-plated tokens, but the nickel layer gives it a shiny silver coating that is not subject to tarnishing. Nickel plated tokens often used in change machines and amusement tokens.

Stainless steel tokens are less precise and slightly magnetic compared to the typical copper alloys, so they are less secure in an electronical coin validator. However, stainless steel tokens are also corrosion free and are not subject to tarnishing, making them a great choice for a.o. promotional tokens or coffee machines.

Steel nickel plated is silver colored metal and is a great base metal to make cheap coins that feel heavy, mostly used in mechanical coin validators, such as barriers or coffee machines.

Aluminium tokens are ideal lightweight silver colored drink tokens or promotional coins. They are minted with the precision of metal tokens and can therefore be counted precisely in coin counters.

Cupronickel is the shiniest silver copper alloy. Being entirely zinc free and easy to anneal and strike high relief coins, cupronickel is particularly popular for commemorative coins.
