Eisenkappel-Vellach is a village in Austria in the state Carinthia.
Local traders of Eisenkappel-Vellach decided together to introduce a new coin “the Vellachtaler”.
They launched this initiative in order to fight against online sales and sales outside Eisenkappel-Vellach.
The Vellachtaler was launched on July the 2nd.
It is promoted as the ideal gift for every occasion and for young and old. Looking for an original Christmas present, for a birthday present or a wedding or other special occasions?
They also think the Vellachtaler could be interesting for company’s to give to their customers or employees.
You can buy the Vellachtaler in the local post office. They have a value of 10 Vellachtaler (which corresponds with ca 10 euro)
