Ring relief tokens can be manufactured in most sizes similar to regular metal tokens. For ring relief tokens with we recommend a ductile alloy like brass or steel nickel plated. Stainless steel is too hard and copper gives too much burr.
Tokens with ring relief have a mechanical security similar to other grooved tokens, but as they are symmetrical, they fit more easily through the front plate. Due to its shape, smaller coins can be entered through the front plate jamming the coin validator. Sometimes, ring relief tokens are used as additional safety feature on electronical coin validators.
