Swedish coins and bank notes in a new jacket

At the end of 2015 Sweden started with the introduction of new banknotes and coins. This operation would take ca two years. At first, the new banknotes have been put into circulation. The old notes were valid until June 2015. Than, since October 2016, the new coins (1, 2 and 5 crowns) were brought in circulation. The 10 crowns are not replaced. The old coins are valid until June the 30 th of 2017
The theme of the new Swedish coins is : “Sun, wind and water”.
The new coins are lighter and smaller than the current coins. This reduces the transport and material costs and reduces environmental impact during production and handling.
However, many applications (vending machines) work with a system based on the old coins. That is why we receive a lot of requests from Sweden to replace the coins by tokens.
For a Swedish camping we recently produced tokens for consumption in meters for the showers.
Our custom tokens offer the perfect solution to further operate these applications.
