Mauquoy Token Company becomes independent spin-off after acquisition of Royal Dutch Mint and Osborne Coinage by Heimerle + Meule Group

Westerlo, 25/01/2024 – Mauquoy Token Company, together with Royal Blanking International, National Tokens and Vistamint, will continue its operations as worldwide supplier of tokens, blanks and souvenir coins in an independent way.
Parent company, Royal United Mint, was acquired by German Heimerle + Meule Group on 25 January 2024 and spun off the Belgian minting companies to Vincent Van Hecke, who was before CEO and co-shareholder.
Mauquoy Token Company is a supplier of coins and tokens, with its roots going back to 1875. Since then, the company has grown into Europe’s largest manufacturer of metal tokens, with various end markets and customers in almost 100 countries.
In 2002, daughter company National Tokens was established as a supplier of souvenir tokens and operator of souvenir coin machines on major tourist sites. National Tokens has grown into Europe’s largest distributor of souvenir tokens.
Later, in 2013, the brand Royal Blanking International was launched to enter the coin blank market. Royal Blanking has since built a strong reputation in the field of base metal blanks providing coin blanks to most sovereign and private mints in the world.
In 2019, Vistamint was established to engage the B2C custom coin market. Through the Vistamint webshop, customers can design and order their own personalized tokens for special occasions such as weddings, babyshowers or corporate events.
As an independent company, Mauquoy Token Company will continue to pursue growth paths within the different segments in which it is already present.
